Cookie Policy
3.1 What cookies are
Cookies are small files or similar technologies that may be stored on a user’s device when accessing a website or digital platform. They can be used, among other things, to enable navigation, remember session information, improve security or measure platform usage.
3.2 Use of cookies on the Palex League platform
The Palex League platform uses cookies or similar technologies required for the correct functioning of the platform, including user session management, navigation, security and access to the games.
The platform includes a cookie consent banner displayed when users first access the website. Users can manage their cookie preferences through the “Configure” option, where cookies are grouped into separate categories: Necessary, Preferences, Analytics, Marketing and Others. Each category can be enabled or disabled individually.
The banner also provides “Accept” and “Reject” options, allowing users to accept or reject all non-essential cookies with a single action. If a user rejects or updates their preferences, any non-permitted cookies are actively removed from the browser. Analytics and marketing scripts, if implemented, are only loaded if the corresponding category has been accepted.
At the date of this Cookie Policy, the cookies currently used by the platform are strictly necessary cookies. If analytics, marketing, preference or third-party cookies are implemented in the future, this Cookie Policy will be updated accordingly and, where required, users will be asked to provide consent through the cookie banner.
3.3 Cookie categories
The platform cookie banner includes the following cookie categories: Necessary, Preferences, Analytics, Marketing and Others. At the date of this Cookie Policy, the platform only uses necessary cookies. If additional cookies or scripts are introduced in the future, this Cookie Policy will be updated accordingly and, where required, users will be asked to provide consent through the cookie banner.
3.4 Current cookie list
| Cookie name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| palex_league_session | Palex League Platform | Maintains the authenticated user session | 120 minutes of inactivity | Strictly necessary |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Palex League Platform | Protection against CSRF attacks | 120 minutes | Strictly necessary |
| remember_web_… | Palex League Platform | Remembers the user’s login session (“Remember Me”), only if the user enables this option | 400 days | Strictly necessary |
| palex_eu_cookie_consent | Palex League Platform | Stores the user’s cookie consent preferences | 1 year | Strictly necessary |
3.5 Managing cookies
Users can manage their cookie preferences through the cookie banner by selecting “Configure”, “Accept” or “Reject”. Through the “Configure” option, users can enable or disable each cookie category individually.
The banner only appears until a choice has been made. Users can reopen the settings panel at any time, and change what they chose, here: Cookie settings.
Users can also manage or block cookies through their browser settings. However, disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent the platform from working correctly or may limit access to the games and participation features.
If non-essential cookies are implemented in the future, users will be able to accept, reject or manage them through the cookie banner or cookie settings before such cookies are activated, where required by applicable law.
3.6 Contact
For questions about cookies or data protection, users may contact the Palex Data Protection Department at dataprotection@palexhealth.com.
