Participation Rules
4.1 Purpose of the competition
The Palex League 2026 is an internal gamified competition created to strengthen knowledge, engagement and sense of belonging across Palex Group. The initiative combines learning content, game mechanics, Basecamps, scoring, rankings and prizes.
4.2 Competition period
- Start date: Monday, 19 October 2026.
- End date: Friday, 27 November 2026.
- Duration: 6 weeks, with one Basecamp per week.
- Final winners announcement: during the week of 30 November 2026.
Palex may adapt the timing if technical, operational or internal requirements make it necessary. Any relevant changes will be communicated through the platform and/or internal channels.
4.3 Eligibility
The competition is open to Palex Group employees who receive access to the Palex League platform. Participation is individual and voluntary.
The initiative is intended to be accessible across Palex Group countries and teams. Before launch, Palex should confirm whether external collaborators, agents, contractors, temporary staff or other non-employee users are excluded or may participate without eligibility for prizes.
4.4 How the competition works
The competition is structured around weekly Basecamps. Each Basecamp may include quizzes, interactive games, challenges or other activities related to Palex Group content.
- Participants collect points according to the scoring rules defined in the platform.
- Points may be awarded for correct answers, completion of games, completion of Basecamps, speed/time performance or additional engagement actions, where applicable.
- Some Basecamps may be scored; others may be used mainly for training or onboarding purposes. Only scored Basecamps will generate a Basecamp winner.
- The scoring model should be clearly communicated before the competition starts.
4.5 Winner criteria
Final global winners will be selected based on the overall global ranking at the end of the competition. The ranking will be calculated using the total points collected across the scored Basecamps and any approved engagement points included in the final scoring model.
Basecamp winners will be based on the highest score achieved in each scored Basecamp.
4.6 Number of winners
| Winner category | Number of winners | Selection criterion |
|---|---|---|
| Final global winners | 3 | Highest positions in the overall global ranking at the end of the competition. |
| Basecamp winners | 1 per scored Basecamp | Highest score in each individual scored Basecamp. |
By considering that the first Basecamp is used only for training, the number of Basecamp winners will be 5 (the winners of Basecamp 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6).
4.7 Prize structure and prize types
| Category | Prize proposal | Value1 |
|---|---|---|
| 1st final global winner | Hotelgift or Flightgift digital gift card, or equivalent digital gift card depending on availability and internal policy requirements. | EUR 600 |
| 2nd final global winner | Hotelgift or Flightgift digital gift card, or equivalent digital gift card depending on availability and internal policy requirements. | EUR 400 |
| 3rd final global winner | Hotelgift or Flightgift digital gift card, or equivalent digital gift card depending on availability and internal policy requirements. | EUR 200 |
| Each Basecamp winner | Amazon gift card or equivalent digital gift card depending on country availability and internal policy requirements. | EUR 100 |
1 For winners in countries outside the eurozone, the prize value will be converted into local currency using the official European Central Bank (ECB) reference exchange rate applicable on the date the prize is granted.
Prizes are personal, non-transferable and may not be exchangeable for cash, unless required by applicable internal policy or local law. Palex may replace a prize with another prize of equivalent value if the originally selected provider is not available in a specific country or if internal requirements make a replacement necessary; any such replacement will preserve the value indicated above.
Prizes may constitute a benefit in kind and may be subject to applicable tax, social security, payroll, accounting or reporting obligations depending on the country of residence/employment of the winner and applicable local rules.
Unless otherwise indicated, prize values shown above are gross values, and applicable taxes and/or social security contributions will be withheld through the winner’s payroll. Palex may manage such obligations in accordance with internal policies and applicable law. Local Human Resources teams will be informed of winners in advance of the corresponding payroll cycle to ensure correct tax and social security treatment.
4.8 Rationale behind the prize choices
Hotelgift and Flightgift are recommended for the final winners because they offer a more memorable travel or accommodation-related reward experience and are internationally oriented, making them suitable for a multi-country internal competition.
Amazon gift cards are recommended for Basecamp winners because they are easier to understand and manage for weekly recognition. They are more practical than wellness or activity-based gift options, which may not be equally available in all countries and could create operational complexity or inconsistencies between employees.
4.9 Tie-breaker rules
If two or more participants have the same score, the following tie-breaker logic is proposed:
- Highest number of completed scored Basecamps.
- Highest number of correct answers.
- Fastest average response time, where this metric is available and part of the platform mechanics.
- If the tie remains, an additional tie-break question or challenge may be used.
4.10 Communication of winners
Basecamp winners may be announced weekly after the relevant scored Basecamp closes and the results have been validated. Final winners will be announced during the week of 30 November 2026.
Announcements may be made through the platform and/or internal communication channels such as email or SharePoint.
Palex will publish the following data about the winners on the Company’s internal communication channels:
- Name and Surname
- Department
- Country/Company
- Picture
- Ranking position and/or score
4.11 Prize delivery
Corporate Marketing & Communications will coordinate the prize process. Palex’s supplier Evidenze will provide the ranking and winner data extracted from the platform. Palex will manage the purchase and delivery of prizes, either centrally or with support from local teams where required.
Prize delivery will take place only after results have been validated. Winners may be contacted using their corporate email address for prize delivery purposes.
4.12 Fair play and misuse
Participants must play individually and fairly. Any attempt to manipulate the platform, share answers in an inappropriate manner, use unauthorised access, create duplicate accounts or otherwise distort the results may lead to exclusion from the competition or prize eligibility, subject to internal review.
4.13 Technical incidents
If a technical incident affects access, scoring, ranking or prize allocation, Palex and Evidenze will review the available platform records and determine the appropriate corrective action. This may include extending participation time, correcting scores, repeating a challenge or applying another fair solution.
4.14 Changes to the competition
Palex reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel the competition if technical, organisational, legal, compliance or force majeure circumstances make it necessary. Any material change will be communicated to participants through the platform and/or internal channels.
